Teotihuacan is famous for being one of the most important pre-Hispanic settlements in America. Very close to the archaeological zone, there is the community of San Juan Teotihuacan, a small town full of magic and tradition.

WALK DOWN ITS DOWNTOWN


Take a tour of the Juarez Garden; There, painted yellow and crowned with an eagle at the end, you will find the beautiful kiosk inviting you to enjoy a quiet afternoon. Sit on one of the park benches, enjoy the fountain and the view of the portals while you delight with a traditional sweet tamarindo or pepitoria.

ENJOY LUNCH IN THE SAN JUAN MARKET


Have something to eat in the market at lunch time. Between the comings and goings of the people and the shouts of the marchantes you will find the stalls with stews that smoke on huge pots of clay; Let the scent guide you to the famous pork chop tacos or enchilada meat, have them with double ration of handmade tortillas and molcajeteada sauce, remember the jug of pulque to accompany them.

TRAVERSE THE CHURCH OF SAN JUAN BAUTISTA


Very close to the Juarez Garden, there is the Church of the Divino Redentor, built more than five hundred years ago. Admire its façade of arches and its niche with the sculpture of San Juan Bautista. Attend the last Sunday of July and enjoy the celebration of the patron saint; dance with the caravan of Moors and Christians and play as a child in the traditional fair of the town.
